HR Payroll Officer - Pietermaritzburg

Responsibilities:

Processing weekly and monthly payroll on Pastel Payroll for +/- 570 staff
Time and attendance management - Uniclox
Statutory payments and returns (PAYE, UIF, SDL, WCA)
Payroll reconciliations and monthly payroll journals
Monitoring and recording leave and sick leave
Annual completion of IRP5s and IT3As
Manage new recruitments, terminations and staff contracts
Conduct counselling, issue warnings, handle grievance processes, and work performance, and initiate/chair disciplinary enquiries
Company policies and procedures, keep all manuals up to date
Representing the company through conciliation and arbitration
HR duties inclusive of recruitment, contracts, and terminations

Requirements

Relevant HR qualification
Previous experience working in HR with exposure to large payrolls
Advanced level Excel and Pastel Payroll experience
Highly accurate with the ability to work under pressure
