Join Barclays as a Salesforce Platform Technical Product Manager, where you’ll
be responsible for guiding the strategic direction of our Salesforce platform,
aligning product roadmaps with business objectives, and advocating for
modular, reusable solutions. This role requires a strong foundation in product
management, an understanding of Salesforce best practices, and the ability to
collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
To be successful as a Salesforce Platform Technical Product Manager, you
should have:
- Product Management & Strategic Roadmapping: Proven experience in gathering requirements, prioritizing features, and aligning product roadmaps with overarching business goals.
- Salesforce Knowledge for Modular and Reusable Features: Familiarity with Salesforce capabilities and best practices, including the use of personas to foster a shared understanding of user needs and designs, advocating for reusable, modular solutions that adhere to enterprise standards.
- Stakeholder Management: Expertise in building and managing relationships with both technical and business stakeholders across diverse teams.
- Data-Driven Decision-Making: Ability to leverage metrics to drive product strategy, prioritize roadmaps and backlogs, and design impactful features.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
- Salesforce Certifications: Admin or Platform App Builder certification to validate your understanding of Salesforce’s capabilities.
- Agile Experience: Experience with Agile delivery processes, preferably using Jira.
- Inner-Source Experience: Background in product management within an inner-source community paradigm.
- Multi-Org Familiarity: Knowledge of multi-org environments, including org strategy and cross-org data alignment.
- Long-Term Strategic Insight: Ability to contribute to a scalable product strategy, with a focus on modular development and reuse principles to optimize platform efficiency.

Location
This role is based in Northampton.
Purpose of the role
To collaborate with product owners and other technical teams involved in the
product development process and utilise their knowledge of the bank’s
technologies to enact the vision defined in the product roadmap.
Accountabilities
- Provision of subject matter expertise to support the collaboration between the product owner and the technical side of product development.
- Support the development and implementation of the product strategy and vision defined in the product roadmap and communicate them with the relevant stakeholders and the development team.
- Collaboration with internal stakeholders to gather and prioritise product requirements and features based on business value and feasibility that are well defined, measurable and secure.
- Development and implementation of assessments to ensure continuous testing and improvement of product quality and performance.
- Monitoring of product performance to identify opportunities for optimisation that meets the banks performance standards.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry technology trends and technologies, to evaluate and adopt new approaches to improve product development and delivery.
