The team player we are looking for:
We are looking for an experienced Exports Logistics Team Leader to join our Warehouse/Logistics team.
The purpose of the role will be to focus on order fulfilment, directing and coordinating the team tasked with receiving & shipping of goods; making the shipping process more efficient and to streamline communications with carriers and the International Sales Team.
Duties will include:
- Prepare shipping documentation, including packing lists, labelling, etc.
- Create and validate product workflow from origin to customer.
- Create Transfer Journals.
- Requesting and following up on shipping quotes.
- Maintaining communication with Freight Forwarders.
- Weekly status report to International Sales Team.
- Maintain ready for collection/shipping reports.
- Maintain warehouse accuracy with monthly stock takes.
Desired Requirements:
- Strong warehousing background with at least 5 years experience in Logistics.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and digitized warehouse environment.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a warehouse.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
- SYSPRO knowledge.
- The ability to multitask.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Speak, read and write English efficiently.
- Some heavy lifting may be required.
- Basic math skills are required.
