Sanctuary Personnel, a dedicated and award-winning recruitment agency with a TrustPilot score of 4.8/5 and over 500+ reviews, is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 7/8a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist to work in Balfour on a full-time basis (37.5 hours per week). The postholder will be actively involved in the continuing development and delivery of Hospital Pharmacy Services, aligned with the visions of Realistic Medicine and Pharmacy 2030: a professional vision, with strong links across all sectors of healthcare.
Salaries:
- Band 8a £54,925 - £59,179 p/a
- Band 7 £44,834 - £51,918 p/a including Distant Islands Allowance pro rata per annum, depending on experience, progressing to Band 8a
Requirements of the Specialist Clinical Pharmacist:
- A highly motivated individual to join our team of pharmacists and technicians, providing a high standard of pharmaceutical care to the population of Orkney.
- Have an undergraduate Masters Degree (or equivalent) in Pharmacy, be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council, and be committed to lifelong learning.
- Have or be prepared to work towards: A post-graduate qualification in an appropriate area of pharmacy practice/Registration as an independent pharmacist prescriber with the General Pharmaceutical Council/A high level of professional competence and expert clinical knowledge, reasoning and judgement; with wide-ranging knowledge and understanding of pharmacy practice, including ethical and legal requirements/Excellent leadership, communication, multi-disciplinary team working and interpersonal skills; with the ability to prioritise work in a self-directed way under pressure and manage time effectively.
- Consideration will be given to applicants with less experience or from community pharmacy to undertake the role as a development post, commencing at a band 7 and progressing to band 8a after completion of any required professional development and training.
- Consideration will be given to applicants with no hospital pharmacy experience, for example community pharmacists, for appointment at Band 7, with later progression to Band 8a.
