HR Manager
Well known FMCG company has a vacancy for the abovementioned role, which will play a pivotal role in fostering a work environment that reflects our core values of integrity, innovation, and sustainability. As a leader in the HR department, the HR Manager will oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes. This role requires a highly skilled professional with a deep understanding of HR management, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and legal compliance. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in HR practices, with specific expertise in the agricultural or fresh produce sector being a significant advantage.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process to attract, hire, and retain top talent.
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
- Maintain pay plan and benefits program, ensuring competitive compensation structures.
- Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management, staying current with labour laws and regulations.
- Efficiently manage HR budget.
- Oversee the use of HR technologies, including ERS Bios for time and attendance management and Pastel Payroll for payroll processing, ensuring data accuracy and process efficiency.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Requirements:
- Proven working experience as an HR Manager for at least 5 years minimum.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Broad knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, and training and development.
- Demonstrable experience with HR metrics and HR systems, with specific expertise in ERS Bios (or similar systems) and Pastel Payroll systems.
- Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
- In-depth knowledge of labour law and HR best practices.
- Experience in the agricultural or fresh produce sector is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related field.
- Master's degree or relevant certification (such as SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) is preferred.
