Responsibilities: Technical - Identify, report, and rectify all technical areas of concern on assigned production equipment (machines, moulds, etc.).
- Have an in-depth understanding of:
- Product and its quality criteria.
- Process (material feeding and drying, injection moulding, reheat stretch blow moulding, and injection blow moulding).
- In-depth knowledge of all equipment, detailed for assigned equipment.
- Mould installation.
- Technical principles and drawings (e.g. assemblies and spare part finding, pneumatic, hydraulic, electric).
Fault analysis and problem-solving.
- Independently perform fault analysis and problem-solving (teamwork as needed).
- Product quality and processing issues.
- Mould issues.
- Machine malfunction (mechanic/hydraulic/pneumatic/electric).
- Recognize and report problems to the Maintenance Manager & Production Manager for equipment other than the assigned equipment.
Maintenance - Independently develop maintenance plans and checklists (teamwork as needed).
- Ensure maintenance is done at required intervals according to the plans.
- Assist the Maintenance Manager & Production Manager in the ordering process (e.g. prepare documents and follow up on orders).
Plan for the year ahead and assist the Maintenance Manager & Production Manager with work on budget for maintenance.
Health & Safety - Ensure and enforce that all aspects within the area of responsibility conform to health and safety requirements.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in the area of responsibility (e.g. ensure cleanliness of assigned machines and areas).
- Work safely and report on safety hazards or issues.
- Report any accidents, incidents, and near misses.
Quality - Apply the company's quality principles and standards.
- Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Food Safety System Certification (FSSC).
- Apply the site's food safety principles and standards.
- Report any food safety hazards or issues to your Supervisor/Manager.
- Comply with and maintain all GMPs in relation to the company's FSMS (Food Safety Management System).
Self-Development, Growth, and Training - Realistically assess your strengths and development areas and undertake actions to address any weaknesses hindering your objectives' fulfilment.
- Keep abreast of innovation and technical improvements for self-development and the company's development.
- Maintain contact with key suppliers and discuss innovations with them.
- Read operator manuals of machines.
