Water Hygiene Technician - 22,000 - 28,000 per annum + Van + Overtime + Company Bonus - Devon & Cornwall
Our client are experts in water hygiene risk management, including assessments, consultancy, and control. They work for a variety of public and private sector clients covering all aspects of Water Treatment, hygiene, and monitoring.
As Water Hygiene Technician, you will have previously worked in a trainee position or have experience as a water hygiene technician. You will have a sound knowledge of water systems and have ideally worked in a customer facing role previously. You will have a friendly flexible approach to your job and be confident in working as part of a team as well as independently.
The role will be responsible for conducting the following technical tasks, this list is not limited, your line manager may occasionally request that you work in another role which is reasonably within your capabilities and for which you have been trained.

Tasks
Temperature Monitoring, Sampling & Inspection of Hot and Cold-Water Systems
Cleaning and Disinfection of Hot and Cold-Water Systems
Servicing and Testing of Thermostatic Mixing Valves
Clean and descale of shower heads
CWST inspections
Key Responsibilities
Carry out tasks allocated to you in accordance with PWS company procedures/method statements
Adhering to all PWS Health and Safety procedures
Reporting any risk to health identified onsite and report back to the PWS Account Manager
At all times adhere to the clients specific Health and Safety/Safe Working practices.
Ensure all equipment used is safe and fit for purpose
Ensuring company vehicles are kept clean and tidy and equipment stored safely.
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with current legislation and documented
Complete onsite work activities as scheduled in your diary
Complete allocated jobs within the agreed timescales.
Complete all necessary documentation accurately and submit
Completion of Technical Service Reports and submission on day of completion
Organised with expenses and paperwork.
Photographic evidence and clear labelling of assets where and when required
Identifying onsite opportunities and report back to associated PWS Account Manager to action
Essential Skills and Qualifications
Full UK driving license
City and Guilds accredited qualification in Cleaning & Disinfection of Hot & Cold-Water
Systems or equivalent demonstratable experience
City and Guilds accredited qualification in Temperature Monitoring, Sampling & Inspection of Hot & Cold-Water Systems or equivalent demonstratable experience
City and Guilds accredited qualification in Thermostatic Mixing Valves or equivalent demonstratable experience
Demonstratable experience in the cleaning and descaling of showerheads
Experience in a customer facing role
Basic IT skills (Able to use phone/tablet to record information, take photos etc)
Competent in working independently and within given time frames
Organised - can manage their own paperwork and expenses
Flexible approach
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
Confined Space Medium Risk qualification
IOSH or equivalent safety qualification
Demonstrable experience or qualification in Closed Systems
Demonstrable experience or qualification in Water softeners
Experience in leading small teams
Enhanced DBS check completed in the last 2 years
