We have 2 positions for a Home to School Passenger Assistant to support a client of ours in Wigan till the end of the school year. Immediate opportunity, paying between GBP12.18-GBP12.80 per hour. What will you be doing as a Home to School Passenger Assistant?
- Complete all mandatory and essential training for the role.
- Assist passengers on and off the vehicle at the start and end of their journey, as required
- Ensure that all passengers are safely received into the educational establishment they are attending and safely arrive at their home destination at the end of the day
- Work with and engage with passengers with a range of disabilities and complex needs.
- Update management with successful intervention techniques
- Complete detailed incident reports as required
- Build effective relationships with passengers
- Ensure you operate within GDPR guidelines

- This role is ideally suited to people who have worked as a carer or need to work term time only to support their own children in the holidays.
- Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding procedures for vulnerable children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to build relationships
- Be digitally confident
- Able to use initiative to respond to and resolve problems as required
- Punctual and reliable
