CAD Technician
Location: Runcorn
Salary: 20.00 (PAYE) 26.00 (Umbrella)

Gap Technical are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled CAD Technician. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and documentation of electrical and lighting systems. The role includes reviewing, fine-tuning, and revising drawings to ensure precision and compliance with project specifications. A strong understanding of schematics, single-line diagrams, and the use of design tools is essential.

Performance Objectives
Drafting and Designing:

Review and update detailed technical drawings using CAD software
Create and modify single-line diagrams and schematics as per project requirements.

Revisions and Markups:

Incorporate red pen schematics and feedback into existing drawings to reflect necessary changes
Ensure revisions are documented and accurately implemented.

Electrical Detailing:

Design and layout black cable configurations based on technical specifications
Produce detailed drawings for small lighting systems, ensuring functionality and aesthetic considerations.

Quality Assurance:

Conduct quality checks to ensure drawings meet industry standards and project specifications
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to resolve design inconsistencies or technical issues.

Documentation and Coordination:

Maintain accurate records of drawings and revisions
Coordinate with other departments to integrate designs into broader project plans.

Person Specification
Qualifications:

Diploma - CAD Design, Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience as a CAD Technician, preferably in electrical or lighting design.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar)
Familiarity with electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and small lighting designs
Knowledge of standards and regulations related to electrical systems and lighting design.

Soft Skills:

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
Experience in designing electrical systems and layouts for commercial or industrial projects.
