Candidate Requirements:
- Formal Chef Qualification
- At least 5+ years of Chef Experience required in 5-star hotels or lodges
- Must have experience in preparing fine dining 5-star cuisine
- Must have a strong knowledge of cooking methods and kitchen equipment
- Good knowledge and experience in special requirements such as kosher food
- Menu planning for guests as well as staff members and having the ability to cost menus
- Maintaining and overseeing all kitchen staff
- Staff training and development
- Passion for food and the food experience
- Ability to lead a team of people effectively and to think and act creatively within a team
- The ability to motivate staff to consistently deliver
- Ability to work flexibly and have strong management skills, day-to-day, and long term
- Well-spoken and presented individual who is able to work under pressure and think on their feet
Live in position with a work cycle of 21 days on 7 days off and 15 annual days leave. All meals on duty included and provident fund contribution
