KEY OUTPUTS:
- Prepare welcome and departure notes for guests
- Check guests in during the day and manage dietaries, or any other special requests
- Meet all guests, check-ins, check outs, hosting guests and site-inspections
- Ensuring all organizational requirements around delivering an andBeyond guest experience at Ngala Safari Lodge is planned for and executed daily
- Assist in training and developing of staff as necessary
- Work closely with the Senior Management team to ensure a seamless daily operation.
- Ensure our brand standards are always maintained in all areas that make up the guest experience
- Represent the andBeyond brand in appearance and behaviour
- Create an environment where the andBeyond culture & DNA is fostered
- Innovate new ideas and ways to edge the brand and improve
- Guest Delight- Both in the bush and at the lodge. To be able to plan, action and create guest delights
- Check set ups for breakfast, lunch and dinner
- Be a critical part in the managing of the butler’s department including their shifts, duties and assisting with any issues that may arise
- Make sure the main area is always tidy and styled to the BOPs
- Host guests at mealtimes and check smooth running of service from the kitchen and butler
- Work closely with butlers and Lodge managers to maintain a high service standard
- Willingness to assist the Operations Manager and Lodge Manager with monthly stock takes and any stock orders that need to be done
- Assisting with general administrative work, including emails, staff rostering and daily allocations
- Assisting with General Management of Stock Control and ensuring stock is issued correctly
- Running Point on Large Group Bookings
- Keep open communication with all departments and allow information to run through freely
- Help Operations Manager & Lodge Manager with Lodge Operations when either goes on leave
- Pay close attention to day sheet information such as dietary requirements and medical requirements for guests
- Be motivated, friendly and proactive when dealing with lodge operations and guests’ expectations

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED (QUALIFICATIONS OR TRAINING PROGRAMS):
- Company Knowledge (andBeyond and Africa Foundation)
- Valid unendorsed SA driver’s license essential
- MS office knowledge essential
- PANstrat Knowledge beneficial

PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 3 to 5 years experience in a 5 star operation in a camp manager/Duty manager role.
- Experience in the service industry especially in dealing with guests and staff
- Managerial experience
This is a permanent live-in position, based at Ngala Safari Lodge.
