Job Purpose:
A skilled and experienced Assistant Lodge Manager is sought to join the team at a prestigious 5-star lodge. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for hospitality, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Minimum Criteria Required: - Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management.
- 35 years of experience in a 5-star establishment as an Assistant Lodge Manager, Duty Manager, or Guest Relations Manager.
- Valid Drivers License.
Key Responsibilities: - Measure and enhance overall guest satisfaction, including managing special requests.
- Monitor guest feedback on platforms such as Guest Revu and TripAdvisor to ensure high satisfaction ratings.
- Assist the Lodge Manager in overseeing daily lodge team service operations.
- Uphold and elevate service standards across all lodge functions.
- Supervise and manage lodge operations effectively in the absence of the Lodge Manager.
- Coordinate departmental teams to optimize guest service delivery.
- Conduct targeted training sessions to enhance both technical and soft skills among team members.
- Work towards achieving quality improvement targets set by management.
- Develop comprehensive policies, processes, and standards governing lodge operations.
- Manage cash handling processes to minimize variances within acceptable limits.
- Ensure effective stock management and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Oversee the maintenance of lodge equipment through preventative measures.
- Take responsibility for the overall performance of the lodge in the absence of the Lodge Manager.
Required Competencies: - Proven experience in lodge management.
- Proficiency in POS/PMS systems.
