Role purpose
The Senior Project Manager (SPM) - Proof of Concept project.
The SPM will be required to manage a client-led proof of concept of the Curo to-be operating environment. The SPM will need to engage and coordinate with the client appointed PM.
The project will require coordination, management, risk mitigation, and pro-active communication (verbal and written) to all stakeholders including the project board. The role will also be required to work closely with project managers from vendor solutions involved in the project.
Specific duties
- Accountable for successful project planning, tracking and delivery
- Facilitating the end-to-end project management process
- Coordinating cross-functional and third party project resources
- Managing projects risks, issues, dependencies and impacts to ensure appropriate control measures are provided and implemented. Pro-actively assisting with the resolution of project issues as they adapt their approach to the context and constraints of the project.
- Ensuring adherence to the project management methodology and governance structures
- Providing project management artefacts in accordance with the project management methodology
- Working closely with the BA’s, IT and testing team to ensure that projects are delivered accurately
- Oversight and management of Governance processes and forums as required by the Project
- Ownership of the Project Governance Framework
- Management of Project Plans
- Chairing of Project Steering committees and Working Groups as might be required
- Leadership: manage and motivate the project team to ensure consistent delivery. Manage inter-personal relationships and ensure cohesion within the project team.
- Cost management: pro-actively manage the project budget. Act as first point of escalation for any non-budgeted spend. Pro-actively manage the budget to ensure any overruns are recouped.

Education
- Accredited project management qualification such as PMI PMP; PRINCE2 or equivalent.
- Domain level knowledge of investment accounting systems.
- Knowledge of the Financial Markets and Instruments.
- Minimum 5 years project management experience.
- Engagement with senior executives in a project management capacity.
