Our Client is looking for a Master Planner who will be responsible for the interpretation of a rolling 24-month sales forecast which will inform the Pharmaforce Master Plan and Master Production Schedule. The Master Planner will also be responsible for placing finished goods purchase orders on suppliers as well as placing purchase orders for bulk products. This position will work closely with other departments within the organization. The incumbent is responsible for the management of the inventory and will also ensure correct demand planning.
Duties & Responsibilities
PRINCIPLE DUTIES
- Rolling Twenty-Four (24) months Master Plan.
- Sales and Operation Planning.
- Master Production Scheduling.
- Material Requirement planning.
- Management of inventory levels.
- Monthly forecasting & demand planning.
- Managing the Planning Module in the ERP system.
- Supplier, Freight Forwarding, and Freight Carrier Communication.
- Monitor supplier shipments and open purchase orders.
- Costing Analysis.
- Cost optimisation.
- Configuration management.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
- Computer Literate with advanced knowledge of MS Office package especially Excel.
- Minimum Qualification required: Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management / Logistics Management / Operations management.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and procedures and implementation of internal controls.
- Post Graduate Qualification in subject matter commerce (Not an MBA) will be beneficial.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning Systems is essential.
- Previous Master Planning experience is essential.
- Previous experience in the Pharmaceutical and/or FMCG environment would be beneficial.
- Proven Production experience will be beneficial.
