Job Advert Summary
Responsible for safe and correct use, operation and maintenance of agricultural / horticulture related tool and plant.
Minimum Requirements
• Grade 12 and/or related NQF Level 4
• 3 years’ experience with tractor
• 2 years' experience using a broad range of agricultural/horticultural implements and tractor-drawn equipment
• A valid Code 10 (C1) driver’s license and ability to pass Rand Water’s K53 test.
Primary Duties
• Use of specialized tractor-drawn equipment (e.g., wood chipper, bailer, stump grinder, etc.)
• Load and offload goods and refuse waste
• Responsible for the separation of waste using the correct securing process
• Dirt roads - decide where/what spoil to fill with
• Grading and leveling
• Best practice in handling and operating assets
• Daily/weekly tractor and implement checklist and approve maintenance
• Correct filling of logs books and checklists
• Undertake senior gardener work when no tractor/work is available.
Knowledge
• Basic knowledge of fire fighting
• Basic knowledge of first aid
• Basic SHE knowledge on all related functions
• Operator's license.
