We are looking for an experienced Ads Policy Lead who has significant subject matter expertise, strong policy development capabilities, and who thrives in dynamic environments. The Ads Policy (AP) team develops strategic advertising policies in support of Reddit’s growing business and ensures that policy enforcement is consistent and scalable. This position reports to and will work closely with our Director of Ads Policy in Trust & Safety Policy (TSP) building the foundations needed for growth and scalability while unlocking business opportunities.
The Ads Policy Lead will primarily focus on developing international ads policies. This exciting new role will partner with leaders across Legal, Sales, Product, TSP and other departments on some of the most fascinating challenges and opportunities impacting online advertising, and will help Reddit continue to scale its business across the world.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and support the development of strategic advertising policies across Reddit’s ads products that prioritize ads quality with user and client safety, while maximizing business opportunities across multiple regions.
- Develop policies for international markets, acting as lead and subject matter expert in the EMEA region.
- Develop trusted relationships with EMEA Sales leadership and other strategic cross-functional leaders to strengthen partnerships, influence desired outcomes, and maximize effectiveness.
- Player-coach to less experienced peers, willing to assist with all tasks as needed to support team goals.
- Engage advertisers and external stakeholders to enhance partnerships and reinforce advertising opportunities.
- Provide support for sales escalations, advising on risk and risk mitigation for policy inquiries that help accelerate Reddit’s revenue growth around the world.
- Provide expert guidance and information to internal stakeholders on complex ads policy issues and enforcement decisions.
- Serve as a role model of Reddit’s Company Values.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of compliance, standards or policy development and implementation, with a minimum 5 years of experience specifically in tech advertising policy.
- Deep advertising policy subject matter expertise across 2 or more markets, working with international teams, and advising international stakeholders.
- Proven track record as an effective collaborator with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to implement strategic initiatives and tackle complex challenges.
- Comfortable with and experience engaging advertising and other external partners.
- Ability to excel and drive change in a dynamic, fast-paced distributed environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex issues into simple, clear language.
- Intuitive, creative, flexible, organized, and detail oriented.
- Proactive in identifying efficiency and scalability opportunities and proposing and driving solutions.
- Effectively takes ownership and manages complex, high profile, critical projects with near complete and reliable independence.
