We are looking for an experienced System Engineer with Linux Administration background and DevOps expertise for the operation and further development of our portal and big data environments. - Together with your colleagues you will master the automation of software delivery and infrastructure management.
- You are a trusted partner for all technical questions regarding our infrastructure and work together with software development and product management.
- While monitoring the system, you are the trusted expert to solve incidents and ensure 24/7 availability of our services and applications with occasional on-call service.
- We want you to be creative and innovative and create concepts and action plans as well as accompany projects from conception to go-live and you will also be involved in architecture decisions.
- You work with our great team to automate our system landscape and implement fascinating new and complex technologies.
Your Profile
You have completed a technical degree or are simply an enthusiastic Linux professional? You have several years of experience as a DevOps Engineer and are interested in operating a complex big data infrastructure? You are a real team player; your passion is infrastructure automation and management and your work attitude is "hands-on"? Then we are looking forward to your application.
- You have very good Debian and RedHat based Linux distribution skills and experience with common TCP/IP network services and protocols.
- You are familiar with operating, building and scaling highly available web applications, as well as infrastructure automation (Puppet, Ansible, Terraform) and monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana).
- You bring experience with programming languages (e.g. Python, Go, Bash), you are familiar with Git and CI/CD pipelines, and ideally have already gained experience with one or more of the following technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, Hadoop, CEPH, ElasticSearch, Kafka, Logstash or Redis.
- You have excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and resolve issues in production environment.
- You are solution-oriented, strong communicator in English and you have a strong sense of ownership.
