Role Purpose/Business Unit:
- The role is central to the design and implementation of a future-oriented leadership culture at Vodacom, which serves as a driving force for the comprehensive transformation of the company.
- The role holder is responsible for the strategic direction, development and execution of initiatives aimed at strengthening our culture transformation, employee engagement and retention.
- The role holder serves as a key figure in the co-creation of a dynamic corporate culture and acts as a crucial partner for the Group to drive culture transformation. In addition, the role leads and influences company-wide and international projects that contribute to the achievement of a consistent and outstanding leadership practice in culture and employee engagement.
- This role forms the interface between strategic vision and operational execution and is therefore crucial for the long-term success and growth of Vodacom Group.
Your responsibilities will include:
- In alignment with overall Vodafone Group programmes, design and anchor a leadership culture that serves as a catalyst for cultural and strategic alignment of the Vodacom Group of Companies.
- Lead key programmes across the Vodacom OpCo’s designed to communicate and consolidate the new corporate culture.
- Responsible for implementing the culture strategy within the framework of the transformation of the Group.
- Shape the Vodacom corporate culture in close cooperation with Group ExCo, driving it across all OpCo’s via the HRDs and relevant OpCo COE’s.
- Lead the implementation of global culture and engagement initiatives (Spirit, Spirit Beat, Employee Listening, Culture Transformation, etc) across Vodacom in close collaboration with OpCo HR teams.
- Advise Group ExCo, HR teams, and senior leaders across the OpCo’s on culture and engagement.
- Network with external organisations for best practice exchange.
- Proactively develop innovative approaches to culture alignment and employee engagement based on corporate goals, the Vodacom Purpose, and external market trends and customer requirements.
- Work closely with the internal communications team to ensure the design and execution of communication in support of culture transformation and employee engagement.
Leadership:
- Be an ambassador of the Spirit of Vodacom by role modelling the behaviours of 1) getting it done together, 2) earning customer loyalty, 3) creating the future, and 4) experimenting and learning fast.
- Serve as part of Group OE, Talent, and Capability Leadership team, and inspire, lead, and motivate own team.
- Openly demonstrate self-awareness and commitment to improvement of self and others.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- University Degree such as a BCom with a focus on Human Resources/Industrial Psychology.
- A minimum of 7+ years professional experience with a focus on culture and leadership transformation.
- Sound and proven experience in the management of complex leadership and culture projects.
- Experience in supporting and managing change initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including at senior management level.
- Able to structure and present complex issues in an understandable and solution-oriented manner.
