Key Output
- Provide labour requirements for dragline services
- Manage and allocate functions of direct and indirect reports
- Provide technical expertise on dragline repairs and rebuilds during services and shutdowns
- Implement and manage quality control
- Build and maintain customer relations
- Manage progress and timelines during dragline services and shutdowns
- Liaise with planning department to prepare quotes, WIP and invoices for area of responsibility
- Prepare reports as and when required
- Perform site audits on equipment with Dragline Technical Representatives
- Attend Site meetings, customer meetings and other relevant meetings as and when required
- Provide technical support to customers
- Assist customer and Dragline Representatives with Scope of work planning for dragline services and shutdowns
- Assist customers with service planning, outage planning and spares BOM's
- Plan Labour requirements for Dragline Services and liaise with planning department for costing thereof.
- Liaise with CAT product support regarding technical issues and warranty related matters.
- Ensure all problems are dealt with promptly
Qualification, Experience and Competencies
- Qualified artisan
- Minimum 10 years dragline experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Supervisory role
- Experience in the management of dragline shutdown work
- Well experienced in dragline Troubleshooting
- Basic management qualification would be beneficial - SDP or MDP
- Knowledge of MS Projects and other MS Office programs
- Good communication (written, verbal and presentation) and effective negotiation skills
- Experience in quality control
- Ability to work independently, under pressure and meeting deadlines
- Ability to show initiative by thinking creatively
- It would be a requirement to travel time to time and work away from home
- Medically fit and able to obtain a Certificate of Fitness
- Code EB drivers’ licence
