As part of the electrical team, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining all electrical equipment, implementing and enhancing preventative maintenance practices, logging job cards, and attending to breakdowns when required. A strong focus will be placed on optimising and troubleshooting various electrical and electronic systems, including packing and sorting equipment.
The ideal candidate for this Junior Electrician role should possess an electrical trade test certification and a valid Wiremans licence. While experience with PLCs is advantageous, a strong knowledge of OSHACT (Occupational Health and Safety Act) is essential. Mechanical experience will be considered a valuable asset. Candidates must be physically fit and capable of working at heights, as well as being computer literate. The role also requires a high degree of flexibility, with a willingness to work overtime and take on standby responsibilities when necessary.
