We are looking for a Branch Manager in Sandton - Illovo.
Bed King is the only mattress retailer in South Africa that uses exclusive sleep technology as part of our sales process. Due to it being independently owned and run, Bed King has a flat structure where each employee has the opportunity to give their input and be heard. THE TOP PRIORITIES OF THE ROLE ARE:
Driving TURNOVER targets and managing operational efficiencies to maintain a healthy and profitable branch, and ensuring profitability every month.
People Management
- Managing, training, leading, mentoring, motivating, developing, and empowering sales consultants within the branch.
- Ensure each sales consultant in the branch is exceeding their sales targets, and deliver the required Gross Profit targets by managing their sales metrics and sales performance.
Ensuring administrative duties within the store are in line with company policies and procedures.
- Guiding, managing, and verifying branch operations to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory legislations i.e., South African Labour Law.
- Ensure Stock loss is minimized through compliance with security measures, stock, and cash handling procedures.
- Ensure Housekeeping procedures are followed correctly, consistently, and accurately.
Maintaining and improving sales performance, and stock efficiencies and ensuring that Bed King's Comfort Solutions Lab sales process is followed consistently.
Ensuring, maintaining, and improving excellent customer service by playing an active role in customer contact situations, thereby ensuring and maintaining healthy customer relationships.
THE PURPOSE OF THE ROLE IS TO:
Deliver a profitable, and sustainable business unit (branch) that contributes to the overall success of Bed King. Focusing on Branch Profitability, Sales Management, Admin, Housekeeping, the Comfort Solution Lab, and Customer Satisfaction.

- Minimum of 3 years commission-based sales experience (preferably in furniture retail) and at least 2-3 years of branch management experience with a proven track record of exceeding branch KPIs & sales targets
- Computer Literate (MS Office) and technology savvy - ability to learn new programmes and systems quickly
- Ability to commute to work without hassle
- Willing to work the following hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 - 5pm / Saturday and Sunday till 2/3pm (one day off during the week)
THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE ARE:
- Grade 12/Matric certificate and the ability to understand Afrikaans speaking clients/individuals.
- Minimum of 3 years commission-based sales experience (preferably in furniture retail) and at least 2-3 years of branch management experience with a proven track record of exceeding branch KPIs & sales targets.
- Willing to work the following hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 - 5pm / Saturday and Sunday till 2/3pm (one day off during the week).
- Computer Literate (MS Office) and technology savvy - ability to learn new programmes and systems quickly.
