Sales Executive - Public Sector
My client, in the IT industry, has an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Sales Executive in the Public Sector space (Hybrid position).
What the role is accountable for:
Manage client accounts and represent companies in selling a range of products and services to industrial, business, professional and other organisations.
A typical day may include:
- Present product offerings to prospective clients
- Engage the presales and services teams and other relevant stakeholders for account planning, technical presentations demonstrations, and POC’s
- Attend and participate in pipeline and forecast meetings
- Own and manage the response to tenders
- Compile proposals and quotes to customers
- Negotiate prices and credit terms and complete contracts and records orders
- Keep abreast of product offerings and industry trends via regular training
- Arrange delivery of products, installation of equipment and the provision of services
- Report to sales management on sales made and the marketability of products and services
- Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction with products and services purchased, arrange modifications and resolve any problems arising
- Prepare sales reports and maintain and submit records of business expenses incurred
- Acquire and update knowledge of employer's and competitors' goods and services, and market conditions
- Identify valuable emerging markets and new business opportunities
- Serve as a business representative at major industry events, conferences, trade shows, etc.
- Maintain relationships of trust and respect with key internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications:
• Relevant degree in Sales, Business Management or a related career field
Experience:
• Function related experience: 5-7 years
• Project experience: 3-5 years

• Proven track record in sales and new business development
• Ability to manage key accounts and run a portfolio of clients, including large and challenging accounts
• Quick to understand clients' pain points and provide effective solutions
• Deep understanding of client portfolio and timelines for renewals

• Success in meeting targets and driving new business growth
• Ability to build a marketing and a business plan to assist in achieving targets
• Thorough understanding of products and ability to engage with the right people
