The General Manager (Cybersecurity) works directly with customers to understand their business needs and align technical solutions. The role focuses on solutions and outcomes.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Advise and lead our clients on our solutions by meeting with them, understanding their needs, and applying knowledge and research to solve their business problems.
- Be a subject matter expert and champion within your area of expertise and advise the Digital Resilience Cyber Security management team regarding industry and vendor trends to ensure we are always best positioned to assist our customers.
- Design detailed and well-formed architectural strategies and frameworks that describe, defend, and lead the adoption of those solutions within our customers.
- Assist clients in transforming their business goals into technical vision with the ability to communicate both the goals and vision effectively.
- Build our practice by establishing key initiatives such as customer and partner training and ongoing self-certification.
- Establish key partnerships with relevant vendor management/technical leadership that will ultimately drive the success of our practice.
- Assist in the delivery of strategy, proof of concept's, and proof of value as well as scoping services to our customers in various aspects of our solution offering.
- Assist in the successful delivery of designed and proposed solutions into our customers.
- Lead, mentor, and guide the sales team to achieve revenue targets by aligning their efforts with business objectives.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, offering tailored solutions to solve their business challenges.
- Leverage industry trends and vendor insights to provide strategic guidance and ensure the company's offerings stay ahead in the market.
- Develop comprehensive sales strategies, outlining the approach to engage customers and secure new business opportunities.
- Drive the creation of detailed sales plans and frameworks, effectively communicating the value proposition of the company's products and services.
- Establish and cultivate strategic partnerships with vendors to enhance the company's product portfolio and competitive advantage.
- Work closely with the leadership team to transform business goals into actionable sales plans, ensuring alignment across the organization.
- Lead the development of key initiatives such as training programs for sales teams and strategic partners to enhance the overall sales ecosystem.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to successfully deliver proposed solutions and maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
Sales Leadership & Business Development Aspects:
- Utilize your deep understanding of sales methodologies to foster a results-driven sales culture within the organization.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to present compelling pitches and proposals that highlight the value of the company's solutions.
- Collaborate with sales teams to identify opportunities, scope projects, and effectively position cloud and/or SaaS software solutions.
- Apply your extensive experience to create accurate cost estimates, considering labour, software sizing, compliance, and licensing.
- Utilize your sales expertise to enhance the billable product configuration process, streamlining the sales cycle.
- Hold relevant certifications to enhance your technical sales acumen.
- Leverage your consulting experience and vendor solution certifications to elevate the quality of the sales process.
- Present architectural strategies and proposed solutions, collaborating with sales teams to ensure successful adoption.
- Participate in strategy, proof of concept, and value demonstrations, contributing to customer scoping services.
Other Position Requirements:
- Experience providing Architectural guidance and advising or leading strategic decisions on the acquisition of analytics platforms.
- Demonstrated presentation and communication skills, including experience with written proposals, verbal presentations, and white-boarding.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire sales teams, fostering collaboration and exceeding targets.
- Strong analytical skills to understand market trends, customer needs, and competitor positioning.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey sales strategies and engage stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and initiatives simultaneously.
- Experience in strategic decision-making, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Leadership experience, including team building and management.
- Manage the sales team’s performance as well as individual performance.
- Provide feedback on performance to EXCO and direct line manager.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity sales.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of success in closing deals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity products and services.
- Ability to travel as needed.
