Job Title: IT Manager
Job Summary: The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the IT department, managing staff, and ensuring that all ICT systems and processes are running efficiently and effectively. This role includes handling support escalations, managing ICT implementations, and proposing innovative solutions to enhance productivity. The IT Manager will also ensure that ICT administration is up to date and will monitor and report on various ICT-related metrics, including hardware capacity, support calls, and supplier SLAs.
Key Responsibilities: - Oversee and manage IT staff, ensuring effective allocation of resources and timely reporting on time spent per site.
- Provide guidance and support to team members.
- Handle and resolve support escalations, ensuring timely resolution of critical issues.
- Report on Help Desk calls and preventative measures taken.
- Ensure ICT administration and documentation are current and accurate.
- Oversee proper housekeeping practices to maintain ICT infrastructure.
- Facilitate and manage all ICT approvals and procurement processes.
- Monitor and report on the replacement cycle of ICT equipment; submit budgetary requirements as needed.
- Monitor ICT hardware capacity and project future needs.
- Develop and maintain plans for ICT infrastructure growth and upgrades.
- Manage and review supplier SLAs related to business continuity, disaster recovery planning, network infrastructure performance, ICT security, and general IT matters.
- Coordinate ICT implementations and ensure projects are completed successfully and on time.
- Propose innovative or alternative ICT solutions to improve productivity and/or achieve cost savings.
- Ensure that management information is always available, accurate, and developed according to new requirements.
- Configure users and manage user security settings as per management approvals.
- Oversee and manage various ICT platforms including AD, O365, Wi-Fi, Thin Clients, AV, Help Desk, TeamViewer, Hikvision, Pal track, and Topaz.
Qualifications: - Education:
- Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent qualification.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Office suite, ITIL, Project Management) are a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT management or a similar role.
- Proven experience in managing IT staff, handling escalations, and overseeing ICT implementations.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in ICT platforms and technologies as listed.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Technical Proficiency:
- In-depth knowledge of ICT infrastructure, hardware, and software.
- Experience with business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
