Desktop Support Engineer
Managed Talent Solution 's client in Montague Gardens is looking for a Desktop Support Engineer with end-user and telepresence support experience. You must have your own transport and a driver's license is essential. Provide a high level of support for user and infrastructure environments ensuring careful and optimal call management and efficiencies to various users. Must be available to start immediately.
Critical Requirements - Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Matric
- A+ or N+ / MCSE (essential)
- 3+ years’ experience delivering End User Computing Support Services in a customer environment
- AD and GPO Experience (Creating Users and Managing AD)
- Proficient at PC Builds and endpoint installations
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work flexible hours as may be required.
- Must be able to work independently.
Primary Role Accountabilities
You will be responsible for setting up Laptops and Desktops and providing support for all 2nd line issues relating to Desktops, Laptops, and Peripherals.
- 1st line and second line support for internal users and IT staff.
- Set up VPN for users.
- Set up laptops: DELL, ACER, LENOVO, HP.
- Connecting users to the Printers and Scanners.
- Follow up service and repairs with external suppliers.
- Escalating calls and issues where necessary to senior managers and team leaders.
- Responsible for installation and maintenance of IT equipment such as (but not restricted to) stand-alone printers and network printers. Supporting all IT issues internal users face.
- Provide troubleshooting and configuration support for users’ desktop, laptop, and network issues.
- Loading an image in laptops via the network.
- Supporting executives with any issues they have.
