We are currently seeking a driven Ecommerce and Digital Specialist to join our team and play a pivotal role in our ongoing success.
Job Description:
The eCommerce and Digital Specialist are responsible for managing and optimising all websites with a focus on eCommerce to enhance the user experience and maximise sales. This role will help develop and implement strategies that drive traffic, increase conversion rates and foster customer engagement. The eCommerce and Digital Specialist leverage digital marketing and web development expertise to ensure that the website remains functional, secure and up to date while staying aligned to business goals. This role helps translate digital trends and data insights into actionable strategies that support the overall objectives and growth in the competitive online marketplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and updates to ensure the eCommerce website(s) is functioning optimally and securely.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on website(s).
- Make modifications to website design and functionality as needed.
- Oversee the daily operations of eCommerce platform(s), including product listings, inventory management, and order processing.
- Maintain open communication channels between relevant stakeholders to prevent loss of sales on eCommerce platform(s).
- Optimize the online shopping experience to increase conversion rates and improve user engagement.
- Develop and execute strategies to drive traffic and sales through the eCommerce site(s).
- Maintain product and landing page SEO.
- Manage website plugins and external apps (Mailchimp, Stamped, Rocket.net, Business Central etc.).
- Assist eCommerce clients/agents with any technical queries.
- Analyse digital marketing campaigns across various channels, including SEO, PPC, email marketing, social media, and content marketing for reporting purposes.
- Analyse campaign performance and provide feedback to adjust strategies to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives.
- Continuously assess and enhance the user experience on the eCommerce site, ensuring a seamless and intuitive shopping journey.
- Create strategies to help increase user engagement on eCommerce sites.
- Build and update marketing data dashboards as necessary for decision-making.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on website and campaign performance using various tools and relevant platforms.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve overall digital strategy.
- National Senior Certificate (NSC) or equivalent.
- Relevant additional courses or certifications in coding, eCommerce management, or digital marketing.
- Experience with eCommerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento, or WooCommerce (advantageous).
- Proficiency in coding languages (e.g., HTML, CSS).
- Proficiency in web platforms (e.g. WordPress).
- Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, and digital analytics tools.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
