We are seeking a suitable qualified Quality Inspector/ Quality Controller with 5 years of working experience in a General & Precision Engineering environment.
Location: Paarden Eiland, Cape Town
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the control quality records for projects (on-site and suppliers)
- Generate project-quality documentation
- Manage project quality assurance - liaise with suppliers and project teams on quality requirements
- Communicate quality records to the project team and maintain quality records on-site
- Conduct quality inspections of projects
- Ensure customer specifications comply with the company’s standard quality requirements
- Prepare Quality Control Plans / Inspection Test Procedures
- Prepare standard quality control and assurance procedures
- Data book management for subcontractors and suppliers
- Fabrication quality inspections
- Create and maintain inspection documentation
- Inspect and release all products
- Ensure that suppliers have the required quality documentation
- Assess the suitability of suppliers
- Attend kick-off meetings with suppliers, project teams, and clients
- Verify and manage supplier records
- Check and manage the contents of Data Books
- Prepare quality status reports
- Prepare and control Project Quality Control Plans
- Assist with ISO Quality, Environment, and Safety Standards implementation and upgrading
- Review and evaluate quality performance and initiate corrective action
- Ensure compliance with the company’s quality management system
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Engineering / Quality Control qualification
- At least 5 years experience in a similar role
- Able to create, control, and manage quality control procedures and processes
- Valid driver’s license
- Clear credit and criminal record
