Financial Manager
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Manager to join our team. As a Financial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing all aspects of financial operations, from day-to-day transaction processing to strategic financial planning.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision-making.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management on financial performance.
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.
- Execute on the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Incorporate our accounting agency's reports into our UK management accounts.
- Liaise with the Accountancy agency to ensure smooth financial management.
- Monitor cash flow projections and manage cash balances to optimize liquidity.
- Identify opportunities to improve cash flow efficiency and minimize financial risk.
- Streamline and optimize financial processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and drive operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors as needed to support financial audits and filings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CIMA or ACCA preferred.
- Proven experience in financial management, accounting, or related roles, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis, with advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Xero or QuickBooks preferred.
This is a remote permanent part-time position (half-day) Monday-Friday.
Location: South Africa based, remote work.
Starting date: As soon as possible.
