Compulsory Requirements:
- Matric (High School Diploma)
- Fortinet NSE 4 / 5 / 6 certification (minimum requirement)
- CCNA / CCNP
- 2-3 years of experience in security-focused roles, with hands-on experience in Fortinet products
Key Responsibilities:
- New Deployments: Plan and execute the installation and configuration of new Fortinet devices.
- Design Work: Collaborate on network design and architecture to enhance customer infrastructure.
- Integration and Migration: Support the integration of Fortinet solutions with existing systems and lead migration efforts as needed.
- Hardware Installation: Perform physical installations and replacements of network hardware.
- Technical Sales Support: Provide technical expertise to support sales teams in customer engagements.
- Daily Health Checks: Monitor device performance and conduct routine health assessments.
- Policy Review and Recommendations: Review and recommend updates to security policies to maintain robust defenses.
- Firmware Upgrades: Plan and execute firmware upgrades across Fortinet devices.
- Policy Changes: Implement approved changes to policies as per change requests.
- Standby Support: Be available for on-call support for urgent issues.
- TAC Escalation: Escalate major outages or issues to Fortinets Technical Assistance Center (TAC) when needed.
- Network-Related Activities: Support additional network-related functions as required.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Fortinet Product Expertise:
o FortiGate Firewalls: Proficient in firewall management and troubleshooting.
o FortiManager: Skilled in centralized device management.
o FortiAnalyzer: Knowledgeable in analytics, logging, and reporting.
o General Fortinet Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of Fortinet product functionality.
