Technical Support Consultant
Our client is an established company providing software and support to the financial industry. They are currently looking at recruiting a Technical Support Consultant who needs to be fluent in both Afrikaans and English and able to commute daily to their offices in Durbanville.
Duties & Responsibilities
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- As part of the Support team, your responsibilities will include:
- Technical support to users - both internal and external to the company
- Communicate technical application requirements to developers
- Setup and maintenance of Company hardware and software systems
- Conduct testing of Company software against test plans
- Rollout / installation of software to customers
- Documentation of install procedures
- Working with service providers
- First line support to our customers on the Company’s products in the Financial Services Industry
Desired Experience & Qualification
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
As an applicant, you will need a Higher Certificate / Degree that covers Network Design and Administration, Computer Systems, Databases and Networks, or similar at a credited institution.
EXPERIENCE
Experience in a technical support environment will be an advantage.
PREFERRED SKILLS - TECHNICAL
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Product Suite.
- General knowledge of databases, preferably Microsoft SQL Server
- Programming with PowerShell, C# and/or VB.Net will be an advantage
- Knowledge / experience with Web services and APIs will be an advantage
- Knowledge / experience with Azure will be an advantage
- Exposure to the financial services industry will be to your benefit
