This position is suitable for a newly qualified Chartered Accountant with up to one year of post-articles experience. The position forms part of the Group reporting team of a JSE listed business. Training will be provided.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Form part of the Group reporting team
- Monthly reporting
- Quarterly reporting
- Draft IFRS compliant annual financial statements for subsidiaries, including submission and finalisation with the external auditors
- Perform analytical reviews and completeness checks on the forecast and budgets presented by different business units
- Consolidate, reconcile, and draft allocated notes for the Consolidated Annual Financial statements for the Group
- Audit queries
- IFRS implementation
- Ad hoc tasks
Job Experience & Skills Required
- Qualified Chartered Accountant
- Up to 1 year post-articles experience
- Implementing best practice accounting policies
- Ensuring compliance of accounting provisions in terms of IFRS and legislation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Accuracy in Financial Reporting
- Time Management skills
- Leadership
