Introduction
We are looking for a Nursing Practitioner (6 month Relief Contract) to join our Employee Wellness team. This position will be based at our Head Office in Cape Town, reporting to the Employee Wellness Practitioner.
JOB PURPOSE
To advance the employee wellness by effectively administering the clinic services for the National Support Service Centre (NSSC).
JOB OBJECTIVES
- To organise the clinic functions so in a manner which ensures the relationship between people, work and resources are maximised to achieve agreed objectives.
- To provide primary healthcare, family planning and preventative health care services through knowledge, quality care and ethical practices.
- To promote, co-ordinate and perform prompt effective medical assistance to employees in acute, emergency and chronic situations.
- To ensure that the clinic environment is kept to a professional and clean state whilst ensuring the clinic is adequately stocked to carry out the clinic mandate.
- To maintain accurate and up to date medical records and/or reports to track patient health/illness whilst ensuring strict patient confidentiality.
- To educate employees on health-related topics which enhance/promote the EWP service offering.
- To report on clinic activities in an accurate, timeous manner leading to pro-active management of potential health & safety hazards.
- To effectively build internal and external relationships to optimise the Clinic Services.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Registered with the SANC (primary healthcare & family planning)
- A Primary Healthcare certificate (essential)
- Allegra
- SASOHN registration and occupational health diploma (advantageous)
- Microsoft Office suite including: Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
JOB SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Ensures patient information is held securely, confidentially and accurately maintained on an electronic system.
- Administration and reporting to ensure efficient running of the clinic as per company policy and processes.
- Ensures payment for services received by ensuring controls in place and adhered to.
- Manages, monitors and orders clinic services stock and equipment, along with prevention of loss and shrinkage and monitoring cold chain.
