Job Description
The Warehouse Team Lead will be responsible for the following:
- Supervises the day-to-day operations of the production team, ensuring the team is working to maximum productivity output to effectively manufacture, service and/or repair products and tools.
- Applies problem-solving skills to troubleshoot solutions to complex technical issues, providing instruction and technical advice to the team where required.
- Drives the team to conduct root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process-related issues.
- Identifies and implements opportunities to improve the effectiveness of work and team output.
- Advises the team on how to support the New Product Introduction (NPI) process ensuring efficient and effective transition from engineering into production.
- Evaluation and planning of minimum and maximum fleet margins to ensure effective utilization through the current financial year (FY).
- Inventory management of slow movers, overstock, and obsolete items.
- Real-time reporting by ensuring correct utilization allocations, asset status, and cleaning up of inaccurate data through GDR, PRONTO, or other reporting systems including non-PRONTO entities.
- Best in practice compliant and cost-effective national and international logistics.
- Ensure repaired instruments are delivered on time to performance and quality expectations.
- Build a strong culture of customer focus through exceptional leadership skills.
- Support the Senior Supply Chain Service Lead in implementing practices to ensure repairs are planned for effective and efficient use of resources.
The Successful Applicant
To be successful for the Warehouse Team Lead role:
- National Diploma in warehouse management and logistics
- A minimum of 5 years management or supervisory experience in a warehouse environment.
- Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Applications
- Proficiency using warehouse management systems and software
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments.
- Accurate data recording and document control
- Excellent telephone etiquette
- Forklift license
- Ability to read and comprehend technical data and standard work operating procedures
- Dangerous Goods License would be an advantage
- Experience utilizing an ERP system
