We invite suitably qualified candidates to apply for the Commodity Specialist Indirect position within the Procurement Department . The position will report to the Manager Procurement and is based in Dunnottar .
Job Purpose:
To deploy commodities strategy of its perimeter and ensure project executions are in line with QCDT and ED (Economic Development) objectives. They will also be required to pilot contractual relationships with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identification of project and business needs
- Preparation and launch of Request for Quotation with suppliers using the standard tool
- Negotiation of cost reduction with suppliers
- Inputs provider/contributor for order placement
- Ensure QCD targets achievement, CONQ (Cost of Non Quality) & claims management
- Management of initial issues before escalation to line manager
- Respect Gibela code of ethics and guidelines
Commodity support:
- Consolidation of commodity needs inputs
- Active participation to commodity strategy and panel elaboration
- Support of Commodity Manager in tender phase
- Represent the commodities towards projects, platforms and solutions
- Effective teamwork with internal customers and stakeholders in problem solving
- Apply the Gibela Sourcing process, and provide return on experience
Involvement in projects:
- Closely work with sourcing project representatives (Project Sourcing Manager, etc...)
- Ensure work package sheet commitment respect
- Ensure QCDT and ED targets
- Monitor sourcing project QCDT and ED including legal project evaluation
- Prepare Business Award
Educational Requirements:
- Supply Chain related degree
Desired Knowledge / Experience:
- Minimum 2/5 years of experience in Sourcing/Purchasing or Project Management or same/similar Industry work experience (ex: quality/engineering/costing/ etc…)
- Industrial knowledge / mindset
- SAP background
- Purchasing professional background and/or Quality /supply chain/technical background
- International mind-set
- Communication (both verbal and non-verbal)
