Our Client
Our client, an independent hospital that has provided health care services in Kwa-Zulu Natal based in Durban, is looking to recruit a Nursing Manager who will be responsible for managing the entire patient care nursing process, achieving determined levels of quality care and standards of service.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Compile, implement and monitor the hospital specific nursing strategy
- Drive and support a culture of quality nursing care and patient safety in line with the hospital operational goals and objectives
- Manage patient risks to achieve patient safety in line with specified clinical outcomes
- Manage resources to ensure optimal operational efficiency
- Manage and ensure a positive patient experience in line with corporate benchmarks
- Lead and manage people in the nursing department
- Ensure optimal utilization of a competent and engaged workforce and other resources in line with the relevant company guidelines
- Lead and manage direct reports
- Establish and manage key stakeholder relationships to achieve integrated patient care and positive clinical outcomes
Desired Experience & Qualification
- 4-year Degree in Nursing, Nursing Management
- At least 5 years professional experience in a tertiary healthcare institution
- 10 years or more management experience in a tertiary healthcare institution
- Proven track record
Package & Remuneration
A permanent position with a Basic Salary, Medical Aid, and Pension Fund. The structure of the package will be discussed at the interview level (based on the candidate’s qualifications and years of experience in the specific role).
