Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Relationships:
- Develop and maintain relationships with chrome producers, mining companies, and other suppliers\
- Negotiate contracts and terms of supply, ensuring favourable conditions for the company
Sourcing and Procurement:
- Identify and evaluate potential sources of chrome
- Manage the procurement process, including issuing requests for quotes (RFQs), assessing bids, and assist in finalizing contracts
Logistics Coordination:
- Work closely with logistics teams to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation and delivery of chrome
- Address and resolve any logistical challenges or disruptions that arise
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of transactions, contracts, and communications with suppliers
- Prepare reports on procurement activities, market trends, and performance metrics
Minimum requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field
- Proven experience in the specific commodity market
- Strong understanding of market trends, economic factors affecting supply and demand, and commodity-specific data
- Proficiency in financial software, market analytics tools, and standard office applications
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to maintain ongoing client relationships
