Job Purpose: To manage the packing facility and related quality and protocol measures, operational teams, and processes to meet packhouse requirements in a safe and efficient manner including human resources and customer services.
Suitable candidates will need to have the following minimum qualifications and relevant experience:
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant qualification in Agriculture, Business Development, Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- 5 – 10 years’ experience in a Packhouse Manager role or similar role within the food, beverages, or manufacturing facility.
- Knowledge of BRC, HACCP, SIZA, and Global Gap Accreditation.

- Monitoring and Measuring Performance and Quality.
- Protocol Adherence.
- Human Resources/Industrial relations.
- Oversee Maintenance.
- Customer Service and Communication.
- Financial Management.
- Food safety and compliance.

- Excellent leadership and people management skills – practical experience in handling people at all levels and a strong record of achievement through building successful teams.
- Able to work in a highly competitive collaborative market space.
- Can-do attitude – results driven and able to implement operationally.
- The ability to plan and execute in a structured manner is essential.
- Be prepared to work long hours and overtime.
