Duties: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to develop wet and fire protection system designs based on project specifications and requirements. Create detailed drawings, schematics, and plans using computer-aided design ( CAD ) software or traditional drafting methods. Ensure compliance with local, state, and national fire protection codes, regulations, and standards. Conduct site visits to gather necessary data and assess project requirements. Collaborate with suppliers to select appropriate wet and fire protection system components. Prepare material take-offs and assist with cost estimation. Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings to identify potential clashes or conflicts with wet and fire protection systems. Collaborate with other design disciplines to coordinate system integration. Assist in the preparation of technical reports and documentation. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent certification in Mechanical Engineering , Fire Protection Engineering , or a related field. Proven experience working as a Draughtsperson in wet and fire protection systems. Proficiency in computer-aided design ( CAD ) software, such as AutoCAD , Revit , or similar tools. In-depth knowledge of wet and fire protection system design principles, codes, regulations, and industry standards. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and design work. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Familiarity with building construction processes and terminology. Knowledge of hydraulic calculations and fire suppression system design. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
