A Wholesaler and retailer of automotive replacement parts are currently looking to employ a Dispatch Supervisor to start immediately, or as soon as possible, at their branch in Maitland.
*MUST COME FRM AUTOMATIVE INDUSTRY/ REPLACEMENT PARTS INDUSTRY*
*Requirements:*
• Grade 12
• 30 – 40 years of age
• Min. 2 - 3 experience in Automotive Industry as Dispatch
• Must have good communication skills and be well presented
• Must have the ability to work in a computerized environment
• Must be target driven and a team player
• Own Transport
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Ensure goods are delivered timeously and correctly.
• Take immediate action and report any discrepancies and/or other suspicious behavior.
• Check and verify all dispatch documents before handing-over goods to drivers for deliveries.
• Supervise driver deliveries and assist in their route planning to accomplish more effective service deliverance.
• Check PODs returned by drivers and hand-over to relevant person for filing.
• Ensure all dispatch documents are filed correctly and timeously.
• Check and report vehicle roadworthiness, damages and missing tolls and equipment.
• Deal with customer complaints and queries efficiently and professionally and always maintain a positive image of the company.
• Conduct regular checks on vehicles to establish negligence of drivers on reporting faults, defects, damages and missing emergency and other equipment.
• Co-ordinate with other dispatch staff to ensure efficient service deliverance.
• Ensure all goods for delivery are packed and labeled correctly.
• Maintain and safe keep dispatch equipment and all other company property.
• Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time by Management/Supervisor.
• Be present and actively participate in annual/periodical stock audits.
• Follow safety precautions and procedures.
• Ensure that your work station and equipment is kept clean and safe.
• Ensure that uniform and safety gear issued to you are kept clean and neat, and take responsibility for loss /damage, except in the case of reasonable wear and tear.
• Assist in sales promotions or deliveries when required.
• Take responsibility for equipment and stock loss/damage due to gross negligence.
