Job Title: HR Practitioner - Temporary Assignment

An exciting opportunity has become available for a qualified and experienced HR Practitioner to support a renowned meat retailer and wholesaler, along with its associated companies, in delivering a comprehensive HR portfolio. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consulting support on human resources policies and procedures.
- Deliver seamless HR administration aligned with best practices.
- Ensure HR programs and services adhere to policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Conduct HR audits to ensure compliance.
- Assist with monthly and weekly payroll processes, ensuring timely submission of documents.
- Maintain employee files, contracts, and records related to recruitment, transfers, and terminations.
- Facilitate onboarding and induction processes for new employees.
- Support employment and industrial relations issues as needed.
- Track leave balances, EE targets, and input into monthly/quarterly HR reports.
- Manage the full recruitment process.
- Conduct training sessions on HR policies or related matters.
- Act as Skills Development (SD) facilitator, maintaining records of employee training and development.
- Develop, update, and maintain job descriptions.
- Prepare and submit Employment Equity (EE), Skills Development, and COIDA reports, and engage with the Department of Labour as required.
- Manage OHS and other legislative requirements, including workmen’s compensation claims.
- Act as EE Facilitator, ensuring active mobilisation of the EE Committee.
Role Requirements:
- Extensive experience as an HR Administration specialist, preferably within Retail and/or Manufacturing sectors.
- Relevant Bachelor's degree or tertiary qualification in Human Resources.
- Post-graduate qualification in Industrial Psychology/Human Resources is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, processes, and policy implementation.
- Thorough understanding of South African legislation (BCEA, LRA, OHS, WCA) and its impact on workplace practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.
- Proficiency in English, with additional languages being an advantage.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills, and an ability to work independently.
- Proven experience in employment law and HR compliance.
- Relationship-building skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid South African driver's license.
