Our client, a leading manufacturer of irrigation solutions and components, is seeking a motivated and hands-on Distribution and Logistics Supervisor. This role is ideal for a self-starter with experience in factory or manufacturing plant environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing distribution and logistics operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, state-of-the-art products that support efficient water management and sustainable agriculture practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Co-manage a team of 25 individuals, fostering effective communication and strong cross-departmental relationships.
• Assist in the development and scheduling of logistics strategies to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Supervise stock control, ensuring efficient and accurate inventory management.
• Maintain a customer-centric approach, promptly addressing any concerns to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
• Work some weekends as required to meet operational demands.
Requirements:
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in a factory or manufacturing plant environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels, from general workers to senior management.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferable.
• Residency in the Northern Suburbs is preferred.
• General knowledge of IT/ERP systems, Google Sheets, and Microsoft Excel.
• A proactive approach and the ability to add value to the distribution operation.
Qualifications:
• Matric with further studies in a related field is preferable.
