*Overview*
We are seeking a reliable and Parcel Delivery Drivers to join our client for a 3 month contract. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of parcels to customers. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to handle heavy lifting. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction through efficient service.
*Responsibilities*
* Safely operate a delivery van to transport parcels to designated locations.
* Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage.
* Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and delivery confirmations.
* Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
* Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
*Qualifications*
* Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver is preferred.
* Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is advantageous.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes.
* Strong communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
* Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns is beneficial.
* A proactive attitude towards safety and compliance with regulations.
