*Overview*
We are seeking a reliable Delivery Drivers to join our client in Yeovil. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting parcels safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of the delivery process. *Responsibilities*
* Safely operate a delivery van to transport parcels to designated locations.
* Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
* Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
* Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
* Follow all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
*Skills*
* Previous experience as a van driver or delivery driver is preferred.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
* Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety practices.
* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
* Good organisational skills for managing delivery schedules and routes.
* A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle being operated is essential.
