Job Summary:
The Agric Sales Manager is responsible for sales management, including customer service, sales, pricing, supply negotiations, business development, innovation, working capital and market intelligence. The incumbent will lead a sales team to achieve the annual sales plan.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Bachelor of Commerce, Sales or Commercial qualification
- At least 5 years sales or sales management experience
- Preferably paper, corrugated or packaging industry experience
- Preferably Abaca, Kiwi or Qlikview working knowledge
- MS Office package, with advanced Excel
- Willing to travel extensively
- Preferably fluent in Afrikaans
Primary Responsibility:
- Long, medium, and short-term sales and marketing planning (budgets and forecasts)
- Development and implementation of sales strategy and budgets
- Achievement of annual sales plan in terms of volume and revenue
- Product costing and customer quotations
- Supply negotiations and agreements
- Planning and achievement of all price increases
- Customer service and relationship management
- Sales representation at customers
- New business development, including tenders and e-auctions
- Product development and innovation
- Customer complaints management
- Working capital (debtors and stock) management
- Business analysis and market intelligence
- Management of sales representatives through leadership and support
- People development
- Business reports and meetings
Experience and other requirements:
- Strategic thinker and sound financial understanding (business and financial acumen)
- Ability to communicate with customers at all levels - communicating with influence
- Good numerical, organisational and administrative skills
- Must have good written, verbal and oral communication in English
