In this vital role, youll be responsible for carrying out routine and preventative maintenance on all allocated equipment, machinery, and facilities. Youll also be involved in plant maintenance during shutdown periods, responding to emergency machine breakdowns, and operating machining equipment to manufacture parts and spares. Additionally, your expertise will be crucial in improving automation and maintaining electrical control systems. To excel in this role, you should have a Qualified Trade Certificate as a Millwright, with a minimum of 3-5 years of plant maintenance experience and 2-3 years of turning and machining experience. Experience in a manufacturing or food production environment would be advantageous, as would skills in welding and tool/parts management. Strong mechanical knowledge, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a team-player mentality are essential to thrive in this challenging, hands-on position.
