Well established concern based in Underberg are looking for a Cheese Maker to join their team. This position would entail ensuring production goals are achieved and ensuring the final packaged product meets the organisations specifications and food safety standards.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Homogenizing and emulsifying raw materials
- Drying, dehydrating, rehydrating, and aging for process
- Using various types of equipment safely and efficiently; vats, mixers, homogenizers
- Operating different cleaning equipment for various types of raw materials
- Using equipment to shape mixtures into desired product shape
- Notifying appropriate personnel if frequency of products doesn’t meet specification
- Comparing products to quality standards
Qualifications:
- 2 years’ experience as a Cheese Maker
- High school diploma or an equivalent
- Additional on-the-job training may be provided
