Camp Lucy Banquets is looking for a hardworking, outgoing personality to join our team. This is an amazing opportunity for a hard worker to get in on the ground floor of a creative, rapidly expanding company. The position of Captain requires a unique skill set, as your duties will be diverse and subject to change as we continue to grow. As the main point of contact for clients on event days, you will ensure a seamless experience for them.
Job Summary
The typical workweek for this role will be Thursday through Sunday, though modifications may be requested. The position will be based at Camp Lucy in Dripping Springs and reports directly to the Banquet Production Manager.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide the ultimate in guest service on all catered events.
- Responsible for all aspects of table and beverage service, side work delegation, assigning floor duties and requisitions during and for a catered event.
- Ensuring that service exceeds guests’ expectations.
- Reliable transportation is required to drive throughout the property for certain scheduled events.
- Set the standard for all line level associates by utilizing exceptional leadership skills as a working supervisor.
- Train and develop new staff as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
- Prior banquet service and bartending experience necessary.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, an outgoing personality, organized and be very guest-oriented.
- Ability to carry 20-30 pounds and to stand for the duration of 8-10 hours a day.
- Must be flexible in hours, handle multiple tasks at the same time, be quick and efficient and effectively handle guest situations.
