To complete the load booking and dispatching processes through all of the interchanges according to customer expectations to ensure their needs are met timeously.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments.
- Build carrier relationships. Communicate changes to the Logistics Coordinator teams, ensuring best carrier match to customer requirements.
- Respond to customer inquiries and refer clients to the proper channels.
- Make transport arrangements, track and fix transport errors, and ensure that the quality of all services provided are up to standard. Communicate tracing information (ETA and appointment) to the customer.
- Plan loadouts and allocate loads to specific transporters keeping vessels and stack dates in mind.
- Communicate to pack stores and Logistics Coordinators regarding loadouts throughout the day.
- Make arrangements and preparations for containers that need to be plugged till containers are stacked again.
- Manage transport and equipment charges as identified.
- Provide follow-up communication to the customer.
- Trace and monitor shipments to ensure on-time performance and delivery to customer.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 Essential.
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification (Diploma in Supply Chain Management or equivalent).
- 2 Years experience in transportation industry.
- Computer literacy - Excel, Word and G-Suite.
- Bilingual - English & Afrikaans.
- Willingness to work additional hours from time to time due to nature of business.
Package & Remuneration
R 22 000 - R 25 000 - Monthly.
