About the role
The Technical Product Manager will lead the Managed Cybersecurity team and be responsible for driving the technical direction, product management strategies, and business growth initiatives for the Managed Cybersecurity PSG. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic thinking to drive the success of cybersecurity solutions, ensuring they meet customer needs and align with market trends.
Key duties and responsibilities :
- Technical Leadership
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the Managed Cybersecurity team, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and emerging trends.
- Stay abreast with cybersecurity industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements, and assess their potential impact on product development and strategy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Sales, and Marketing, to translate technical requirements into actionable plans and deliverables.
- Product Management
- Define and prioritise product features and enhancements based on market research, customer feedback, and business objectives.
- Develop product roadmaps and timelines and drive the execution of product development initiatives from concept to launch.
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify opportunities for differentiation and innovation within the Managed Cybersecurity product portfolio.
- Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies, positioning, and messaging for Managed Cybersecurity products and solutions.
- Ensure that products are compliant with relevant cybersecurity standards and that they address the latest threats.
- Business Management
- Drive business growth and revenue generation for the Managed Cybersecurity PSG through strategic product planning and execution.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to establish pricing strategies, profitability targets, and sales forecasts for Managed Cybersecurity products and services.
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to product performance, customer satisfaction, and market penetration, and take proactive measures to optimise results.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and vendors to support business development efforts and foster a culture of customer-centricity within the Managed Cybersecurity team.
- People Management
- Accomplishes department objectives by managing staff; planning and evaluating department activities.
- Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Encourage and motivate all employees to work and collaborate to meet goals, while fulfilling their job responsibilities and obligations.
- Mentors, coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees.
- Develops personal growth opportunities and team succession planning.
- Partner Management
- Selection and management of a group of key technology partners that underpin the PSG go-to-market strategy including an annual review of PSG partners to ensure relevance to Reflex Enterprise and PSG strategy.
- Regular operations and business reviews and planning meetings to ensure both operational and strategic elements of the partnership are managed.
- Compliance to agreed partnership status.
- Maximize partner rebate and joint marketing funds (JMF) to be used to improve PSG profitability and business growth.
Education, Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Technical Product Management.
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience in cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, or related fields.
- Proven track record of successfully managing product lifecycles and delivering cybersecurity solutions to market.
- In-depth understanding of cybersecurity technologies, such as network security, threat detection, incident response, cloud security, and compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret technical data, market trends, and customer feedback to drive informed product decisions.
- Demonstrated business acumen and strategic thinking, with a focus on driving business growth and profitability.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
