An innovative consulting and accountancy firm is looking for a passionate accountant who enjoys using technology and revolutionizing traditional accounting methods, to join their team in Somerset West as a Senior Accountant.
They are looking for a forward-thinker with a strong passion for systems integration, automation and enhancement of accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records, including recording all transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling bank statements.
- Produce monthly management reports, such as balance sheets and income statements, providing in-depth analysis to clients for informed decision-making.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting, and actively track actual performance against budgets.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and legislation.
- Prepare annual financial statements and provisional tax calculations for clients.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing financial information and resolving queries.
- Collaborate with clients to solve specific financial issues or problems.
- Innovate and automate accounting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Act as a resource investigator, proactively identifying opportunities for process optimization and technology integration.
- Collaborate with the systems software developer to implement new tools and technologies to enhance accounting systems and processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- In-progress CIMA or a completed professional designation.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma with Accounting or Finance as a major.
- A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
- Exposure to accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage or Xero is highly advantageous.
Salary:
- R25k - R30k / month CTC (slightly negotiable depending on qualification and experience)
